Day 11

Dailylife Daughter #2 and I went to the Moonrise Wednesday night.  We were on top of the hill above the Lewis and Clark Overlook, overlooking Rainbow Falls and Dam.

(1/30, f5.6, 400mm, ISO 4000)

The viewing conditions were, at least as far as photography went, horrible.

(1/1000, f5.6, 400mm, ISO 4000)

The wind was blowing very hard.

(1/1500, f5.6, 400mm, ISO 4000)

It was very cold because of the wind.

(1/30, f5.6, 400mm, ISO 4000)

At first I propped the camera up beside a sign, but it was vibrating badly due to the wind.

(1/2000, f5.6, 400mm, ISO 4000)

I moved back to a power pole (18 inch diameter!) and it was swaying pretty good too!

(1/1000, f5.6, 400mm, ISO 1250)

So no hi-rez, crystal clear Moon photos, but a nice group showing the Moonrise.
