We saw quite a few Osprey and their young on our expedition to Glacier National Park. Â The power company builds nesting platforms next to the power lines so the birds don’t nest in the wires. Â The first nest was just a little bit out in a field.

This nest is at the junction of US 89 and MT 17, where MT 17 heads up towards Waterton National Park in Canada. Â This is Chief Mountain.
This one is just out of Babb a couple of miles on the north side of the highway on the way to Many Glacier.
I made a short video of the the five (??!!) Osprey in this nest. Â The roaring in the background in the is the river coming out of Many Glacier. Â It will open in a different window.
Here one of the adult decide to fly around and try to lead us off.
That didn’t work.
Eventually it came back to the nest. Â The nearby cows just stared at us.
