I just finished a Rocky Mountain School of Photography Weekend session here in Great Falls. Â It is a sampling of some of the courses they offer, and a lot of fun. Â They offer a critique of a photo of your’s at the end. Â My photo got a an “OOOOoooo” from the crowd, but then showed why you should not edit photos late at night without lots of caffeine. Â It was over saturated and over sharpened. Â Other than that they liked it! Â Anyway, when I got home I played with that photo a little, and that got me into looking at a few from our trip to Yellowstone last Fall. Â So here are a few from that trip.
White Dome Geyser, mid-eruption in the setting sun.
(1/180s f/8.0 ISO125 40mm -1 stop Canon 7D)
Reflections in the Great Fountain Geyser.
(1/500s f/4.0 ISO125 40mm 7D)
Great Fountain Geyser Sunset.
(1/350s f/8.0 ISO125 22mm 7D)
The infamous “over sharpened” photo, with much better editing…
(1/350s f/8.0 ISO125 17mm -1.5 stops 7D)
More Yellowstone fun to come!
