I have the fort part almost done.

I got Toots’ rock wall up.  She helped!
Lugnut’s door is on, with only minor major trouble. Â I got the side pieces bolted to the wrong side of those short cross pieces you can see on each side of the door. Â The boards are suppose to be on the outside. Â It is not really clear in the instructions. Â So I got one changed and one of the bolts in the other side stripped its head. Â And the first side did the same thing when I tried to put it back.
They are the uprights with the single bolt through the short horizontal board. Â I couldn’t get my hacksaw to it to cut, but it is a soft cedar…I was eventually able to rip the bolt through the wood with minimal collateral damage. Â Then drill a new hole and try it again! Â The door itself has the screw holes for the hinges too close to the edge. Â I had to redrill some of them, and double drill the remaining ones to keep the wood from splitting.
This is the view with the door open.
A view of things currently. Â The slide will come off of the open space on the right end of the upper deck.
A better view of the table and downstairs “room”.
And a final view from the opposite side. Â The slide will go off of the left side on this end.
The slide and some railings are all that are left. Â There are two starburst inserts for the sides that are open under the roof. Â I am leaving them off so the kids can see out better. Â Then it is on to the swings!
