Last night at the Great Falls Camera Club meeting I gave a small class on low light photography and light painting. Â I showed how to use a flashlight to illuminate an object, in this case a plant.
Under the room lights.
(2s f/4.0 ISO100 17mm Manual Canon 7D, 17-40mm L)
No lights.
(2s f/4.0 ISO100 17mm Manual 7D)
Using a small one LED flashlight for about 15-20 seconds of the 30 second exposure.
(30s f/4.0 ISO100 17mm Manual 7D un-edited)
Not too exciting but it is a quick example of what you can do.
Thanks to the Kauai Adventure Photo Workshops, where I first tried this during my nighttime workshop on Kaua’i.
