The Old Home Place #4…280 West Sixth Street, Whitefish. (I know it says 202 on the post, but they renumbered everything in 1977, I think it was…). This home was on Whitefish River. THAT was fun! It looks pretty much the same from the front, other than the carport was grass and a sidewalk, and the color. That was my room, right up front, second floor. The flower boxes I think Dad made for Mom and put up.
The back, however, is radically different…I talked to the owner, who was in the front yard when I took these photos, and he had built an addition for his mother. This was a nice grass backyard when we lived there. I don’t know when we moved, but we were in it by July 20, 1969.
The Whitefish River is at the bottom of the slope. We had a path rather than the retaining wall, and the ducks that lived on the river would come up into the yard looking for food.
