After our trip up to see Waimea Canyon, we stopped at a nice little place in Waimea, The Grove Cafe, at Wiamea Plantation Cottages on the west side of town.

They had old ovens and Tiki Torches!
It came well recommended by current patrons.
After a quick perusal of the menu, the Dailylife Wife decided…
…a Mai Tai (or however it is spelled!).
I decided on my usual, minus the Tea part. Â I was driving…
The Missus had a Scallop Stirfry.
I had a large Cheeseburger on a Taro Bun. Â It was quite good, even if it was a little purple! Â The Sweet Potato Fries were also excellent.
Just a little self portrait before…our credit card was declined! Â Later checking with the card company showed someone had made a bunch of one dollar charges, which is one way the credit card company security departments can see someone has stolen your card number. Â We got it straightened out and got new cards, but it does take a couple of days for them to arrive, so always take two different cards when traveling, just in case.
All in all it is a nice little restaurant. Â We intend to go back next time we are on Kauai.
