The photos in this post are one series of shots I took. Â In all I doubt it took ten seconds. Â The photos are a bit grainy because of the sea-mist I was shooting through, the “high” ISO I had to use (500) and they are hand held. Â The whales are several hundred yards away. Â At sea level this would look like a ball of serpents…
They feed all summer near Alaska, then come down here for the winter to give north. Â They don’t eat here.

Blooop! Â Gone without a sound. Â Not that we could hear, anyway; we were a lot closer on the Alaska cruise!
