Here is the Pride of America.
If you look close you can see us waving from our room….errr…I guess we aren’t…somebody had to take the photo…
After a pleasant tour of this part of Kona, we arrived at:
The Royal Kona Museum and Coffee Mill!
It had a nice gift shop, a small museum, free samples…
…and a great view! Â (Click to enlarge; BACK to return!)
(Four photo panorama)
High Ti.
We didn’t have much of a chance to see much other than the view, the samples and the gift shop. Â I did get this spiffy hat, though!
This is a treehouse just outside the Royal Kona. Â The story is a retired sea captain built it to live in because he couldn’t sleep in a house that wasn’t moving, and this was enough like his old ship to be comfortable. Â It is now termite infested and closed. Â There are hopes of a restoration.
Onward to the Pu`uhonua O HÅnaunau National Historical Park!
