Day 192: The Lee Metcalfe National Wildlife Refuge pt1

Leslee ran over to Hamilton with me for some work I had to do today.  We swung through the Lee Metcalfe National Wildlife Refuge on the way back up to Missoula.  It was very hot (88+) and there were almost no birds around…other than this one!

A Turkey Vulture.  I don’t recall seeing one in /\/\onTana! before, but this is their range.

This was actually on a farm just on the Stevensville side of the Lee Metcalfe NWR.

There were two of them on the fence posts, but one flew away while I was getting my camera.  Three more were flying around when we got there.
