Day 306

Down in Somers, /\/\onTana! there used to be a lumber mill.  They had the most interesting steam engines to run logs and lumber around the yard.

The steam was created by a stationary boiler.  The little engines would dock with boiler and take on steam to use…no fire needed on the locomotive!!!  I believe they would run for a couple of hours before needing to be resupplied.

The folks down in Somers are hoping to put the engine in a shelter.  Click on the photo to enlarge and see the details.  BACK to return!
