Day 312

Possibly the last post of Mouseland…or not.  There are some other photos that are nice.

After the Hollywood Tower Hotel, as it is named on the side of the building, we walked back down Hollywood Boulavard, passing that great car with the Band again.

Day1331201

(All photos takn on a Nikon Coolpix P7100)

I don’t know how Disney managed to get a flower named after one of the characters in Peter Pan, but he did.  The Tiger Lilly.  that is some good marketing, right there.

Day1331202a

Just to show off the capabilities of my little Nikon P7100, this is an unretouched full sized crop of the photo above.  I did touch the one above up a bit…

Day1331202b

We had a nice lunch over at the Taste Pilot’s Grill, and the Dailylife Wife and DD#2 went on Soarin’, a fight adventure, where the Dailylife Wife managed to lose her cell phone.  Fortunately Toots got it back from Lost and Found later that evening.  While I was waiting for them I got to watch all of the stewardesses from Minnie’s Airline give us a show.  There is also this rocket engine on a test stand.  Normally smoke would cause concern, but…

Day1331203

…in this case it is a water mister that comes on frequently to cool of the crowd.  Neat.  I wonder if I can put one in the backyard.  Maybe she won’t notice it down by the birdbath…

Day1331204

The Monorail track runs right by here, but but is very fast and quiet, so it was a challenge to get a photo.  I did one better: I got enough to make a gif!

Day1331210

So that is most of our Mouseland vacation.  I’ll post a few more odd photos (you can decide for yourself how odd…), as we also bought the special Disney Photopass collection, where all of the photos the Disney photographers manage to take of you are included for one, errrr, small, charge.  Very convenient!
