I got to run down by the River this evening and got a few nice photos of a variety of birds, so I will break into our Arches sojourn for a moment.
Western Grebes.
(1/750s f/8.0 ISO125 400mm -1/2 stop Canon 7D 100% crop)
Bald Eagle.
(1/1000s f/8.0 ISO160 400mm 7D 100% crop)
Juvenile Common Loon.
(1/500s f/8.0 ISO125 400mm -1/2 stop 7D 100% crop)
Canadian Geese in silhouette.
(1/4000s f/8.0 ISO320 400mm +1/2 stop 7D 100% crop)
Actually, these two photos are cut from the same one. Â The only other thing I did was whiten up the sky a little.
They were too big to show at a 100% crop, so I had to split them up.
(The whole thing!)
American Tree Sparrow. Â These are smaller than a 100% crop. Â I was too close and couldn’t fit the whole bird in ay 100%!
(1/180s f/8.0 ISO320 400mm 7D)
(1/180s f/8.0 ISO320 400mm 7D)
Not bad for 40 minutes down by the River!
