Day 343

One last post from Herman’s Flowers (using my Canon 7D, at least!), and a Thank You to them for letting the Great Falls Camera Club come down and use their greenhouse!

(1/45s f/8.0 ISO250 100mm -1/2 stop Canon 7D)

I think I was using a ring flash on these three photos.  I might have used it on one or two of the previous post’s, too.  A ring flash is a circle of, in this case, LEDS, that you can mount on your lens, and the light comes from all around the lens, making it fairly non-directional.  With mine you can also take it off the lens and hold it up to about 18 inches away from the camera to get different lighting effects, and you can run it constantly on to see what the effect is, rather than wait for a flash to go off and then see what is happening.
