We are having a Super Blue Moon…the Blue part is that this is the second Full Moon this month. Â It happens every now and then. Â I went out to watch the moonrise and it was disappointing. Â It rose about half an hour before the sun set, and the moonrise itself was lost in the haze on the horizon. Â This is after it had been up for a bit.

The Super part is that it is 5-10% brighter and slightly larger than normal; the Internet rumor from a couple years ago that it was ten times larger than normal and half the distance was…exaggerated a bit…
