I swung down by the River after coffee this morning…
Pelican.
Cliff Swallow.
Tree Swallow.
Mourning Dove. Â 100% crop.
These were all taken on my Canon M2 with an EF 28-135 IS lens and adapter to use it on the M2. Â This is a new camera body with a late model sensor, and a lens that Canon starting making in 1998 as a cheap one to put on cameras so you’d actually have a lens to use with your new body. Â While it is an old design and not to costly (I got mine for $299 in 2009, and they haven’t changed in price much) it has great optics, and has been called Canon’s unmarked “L” lens. Â (“L” lenses are the top-of-the-line at Canon.) Â On a crop body like the 7D or M2 it is equivalent to a 45-215mm lens on a full frame camera. Â If is very light as lenses go, and is a good fit on my M2 until I can pick up the native EF-M 55-200mm.
