Day 319

Down on the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Narrow Gauge Railway, aboard Galloping Goose #5!

Here we see the New(ly restored) #168 Ten Wheeler!

You can also see the dual trackage the yellow utility wagons are on. They are narrow gauge, while the third rail is for standard gauge like most of the Country runs on. You can actually have a mixed train of narrow and standard gauge cars on this track: the railcars had to have two couplers. One is in the middle of a standard car’s width and the other is in the middle of a narrow gauge car’s width, so it is a foot down and to the left of the standard couple.
