We wandered down to Ka’paa for a little shopping at Safeway and a fabric store. A slow day overall.
Lunch by the beach!
While there wasn’t much railroad activity in Hawai’i, there was some. Here is a railroad trestle left right in the middle of Ka’paa! Mainly it was plantation trains here, to get the fruits and such to the ships. This narrow gauge doesn’t even look to be 18 inches…
It would be neat (but next to impossible) to start it back up as a transit railroad.
