Why Panorama Day? Because all four photos are panoramas, of course!
===========
The Dailylife Wife and I made a drive up to Jerome. It is only “four” miles from Clarkdale but it is all uphill and winding mountain roads…the best kind!
If you drive straight past the firehouse in Jerome, rather than take the switchback, you will come to an old west ghost town. We plan to go back when it is warmer (when there isn’t snow on the ground). The views are spectacular from over there!
Click on this one to enlarge it. The snowy mountain tops on. the left are the San Francisco Peaks: Flagstaff is at the base of them. In about the same place on the horizon but on the right is Sedona. A two photo panorama!
This is another view to the North. Sedona is on the far left of the horizon, Jerome and the back of the firehouse are on the right. A two photo panorama!
In addition to a ghost town, there is a mine. I think it must still be active, because there is a very nice parking lot. But where the entrance is now I don’t know. I don’t think they use this pit anymore. Another two photo panorama!
If you drive through Jerome another half mile there is an overlook. Not of Jerome, but back down and across the Verde Valley to Sedona. A one photo Panorama, with the Dailylife Wife! More of Jerome in the future.
