Day 96: The Weekly TEA Party Protest!

There were again about 18-20 of us out on Tenth Avenue South Saturday afternoon.  There were also about five on the corner where I took this photo from, and five or six back on 9th Avenue South on the detour for west-bound 10th Avenue South traffic.

Today was a little unusual, however.  The Cops on the left side of the photo were there to get the vehicles moved from beside the building where the owner (and Mayor, I was told) was upset at two American flags flying upside down.  Obviously political speech since no one here was in any physical distress.  Then some lady (I use the term generically!) yelled out of a car window that we were “ingrates”.  Hmmm.  Then someone shook their finger (not the middle one!) at use as they drove by.  And a lady (I use the term specifically!) stopped to tell us that our actions were insignificant and useless and a waste of time, and that the president was trying as hard as he could to save the country from the deficeit.  Oh well, she was a nice lady.  Very misguided, but nice!

Remember: T.E.A. = Taxed Enough Already!
